Interested in learning more about aspects of art history and contemporary art? Join us for a special two part course at the John Hansard Gallery and SeaCity Museum for the third in the series of informal adult short courses which provides an introduction to contemporary art practice within the context of art from the past.

Based on the work of artists in the Ship to Shore: Art and the Lure of the Sea exhibition, this course provides participants with an interactive tour of the current exhibitions at the John Hansard Gallery and SeaCity Museum, whilst providing an introduction to the way in which artists form the past have communicated our relationship with the sea.
In partnership with the Winchester School of Art and their research centre, Winchester Centre for Global Futures in Art Design & Media, this short course is convened by Dr. August Jordan Davis.
No previous knowledge required and all learning materials are provided.
